FAITH AND ACTION
The letters to the early church in the New Testament speak to every age, because they give practical teaching on living the Christian life. We struggle to incorporate the words of Jesus into our daily lives, just as the early Christians did. There are many parallels between our age and that of the early church. Then, the Roman Empire was at its peak, but beginning its long and gradual decline. The spirit of the age was one of cynicism. Ethics and morality were at low ebb. We see the same attitudes in the world today. Yet God calls us to live as faithful followers of Jesus Christ.
